App Privacy Policy

This policy explains how iCarTV handles information when you use the app, visit icartv.app or contact support. iCarTV is provided by Enes Sakut, an individual developer based in Türkiye. Contact: [email protected].

Enes Sakut is the data controller for personal information processed to operate this website and respond to support and privacy requests. No iCarTV account is required. Your media library is not uploaded to a developer-operated server. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Independent websites and media providers control their own processing.

iCarTV saves the sources you add, playlist and stream addresses, channel information, favorites and up to 100 recent channel entries in its local library. It also stores browser bookmarks and preferences such as language and list layout. These records support playback and your library; the current app does not sync them to a developer-operated cloud service.

Videos selected through Files or Photos are copied into the app, together with a title, import date and file size. The original remains in its original location. Original video files may contain their own metadata. The Photos picker provides access to your selection rather than access to your entire photo library.

Adding or refreshing a remote playlist contacts its provider. Playing a stream and displaying a remote channel image contact the relevant hosts. These requests disclose ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, requested address and request headers, to those hosts. An address you supply may itself include an access token or account information.

The built-in browser loads the websites you choose and their embedded resources. Non-address text entered in the address field is sent to DuckDuckGo as a search query. Websites can process data under their own policies, including information you submit or use to sign in. iCarTV uses persistent WebKit website storage, so cookies, website data and sign-in sessions can remain between visits.

When local-network playback is started, the app can temporarily serve the selected local video to a receiver on the Wi-Fi network. This transfer uses HTTP and a randomly generated session address; it is not an encrypted HTTPS transfer. Use a network you trust. The server is stopped when local-network playback ends or its player is released.

A compatible video copy may be generated on your device for a receiver. This temporary copy omits original metadata and is removed when released or conversion fails. The original is unchanged. iOS controls the local-network permission and device routing. Playback information can appear in iOS media controls and on connected displays.

The current app does not request location permission or collect GPS position or speed. Its parked confirmation is a user acknowledgement, not a measurement of vehicle movement.

Library entries and imported videos remain until you remove them. Delete a source from Sources to remove its channels and associated favorites and recent entries. Settings → Library → Clear history clears recent channel entries. You can remove individual favorites, browser bookmarks and imported videos; deleting an imported video preserves the original in Photos or Files.

Clearing channel history does not clear browser cookies or website data. The current app has no dedicated browser-data clearing control. Image caches may remain after a source is removed. Deleting the app normally removes its local container; offloading it retains app data. Device or iCloud backups may contain app data depending on your settings, and removing the app does not remove separate backups. Temporary files and caches may also be managed by iOS.

The current app has no developer-operated account service, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or diagnostic upload service. It writes playback and application diagnostics to Apple’s system logging facilities. Apple and third-party services may process information according to their own settings and policies; this policy does not claim that every operation stays on the device.

The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Website requests can disclose your IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time to the hosting infrastructure for delivery, security and troubleshooting. The site saves your language preference in local browser storage. We do not add advertising trackers or a visitor analytics SDK. Cloudflare may process network diagnostics and security information as part of hosting. Clear browser site data to remove the saved language preference.

For support, privacy questions or requests concerning personal information you have shared with us, email . If you contact us, we receive your email address and the message and attachments you choose to send, and use them to handle your request. Email is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing and received through iCloud Mail. Do not include passwords, access tokens or private playlist credentials.

Information reaches us through messages you choose to send and through requests to our website. We use it to deliver the website, answer questions, troubleshoot reported problems, protect the service and comply with applicable obligations. Where applicable, the legal grounds are performance of the service you request, our legitimate interests in support and security balanced against your rights, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where required. Optional device permissions can be changed in iOS Settings. This policy is a notice, not blanket consent to unrelated processing.

Cloudflare provides website hosting and email forwarding; Apple iCloud Mail receives support messages. Providers may process information outside Türkiye or your country of residence, depending on their infrastructure and service terms. Third-party sites you open, stream and image hosts, search providers, and receivers you choose receive the data needed for those operations. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal rights. This policy does not grant permission for additional data transfers. Provider policies are available at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/ and https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.

Support messages and attachments are kept only as long as needed to resolve the request and any related follow-up, comply with retention duties, or establish or defend legal claims. The relevant criteria are whether the issue is open, the information remains necessary, and an applicable legal obligation or dispute requires retention. You can ask us to delete information you sent. Service-provider backups and logs follow their own retention processes. We do not have remote access to delete your device library. No storage or network transmission is completely secure; avoid sending private media, passwords or source credentials to support.

Depending on applicable law, you may request information about processing, access to or a copy of your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and withdraw consent for processing based on consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Under Türkiye’s Law No. 6698, applicable rights also include learning recipients, requesting correction or deletion notifications to recipients, objecting to an adverse result produced exclusively by automated analysis, and seeking compensation for unlawful processing. We do not use support information for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Email with the subject “Privacy request” and enough detail to identify your request. We may request proportionate verification before disclosing or deleting information. We respond within applicable legal time limits and explain any lawful limitation. You may complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK), or the competent authority where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred. No account registration is needed to contact us.

iCarTV is not directed at children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children; a parent or guardian can contact support about information a child has sent. Parents should supervise access to external websites and media sources. We update this policy when practices change and revise the date shown above. Material changes will be explained on this page and, where required, through an appropriate notice or consent request.
